Research Interests

I have a broad range of research interests. I have extensive experience exploring interoception and its role in active sensing and other basic cognitive processes. My work covers both the neurophysiological side (using ECG, respiratory belts, and psychophysiological monitoring) and the clinical field. I developed this expertise while working with the Human Evolution and Cognition group (EvoCog) and the Active Cognition, Embodiment and Environment Lab (ACE2Lab).

Additionally, I have a special interest in inhibitory cognitive processes and associated cortical areas, a field where I have trained and conducted research with both EvoCog and the Neuropsychology and Cognition (NeuroCog) group. I also have experience in data analysis with R, with a specific focus on performing meta-analyses.
